Honor difference. Most people like things they know, things that are safe and familiar, like toast for breakfast. When we meet people who are different in some way, we may not like it at first. We may dislike a person who is unfamiliar. But sometimes the things that are different are the most important things because they teach us and help us grow.

Is there someone in your life different from you who has taught you something important? Write down the name of the person and what you have learned. On another piece of paper write down a way in which you are different from others around you. Then write down what people could learn from knowing you.
